Hotspot
A Hotspot is a feature that allows a smartphone to share its mobile internet connection with other devices, such as laptops, tablets, or other phones.
It turns the smartphone into a small wireless access point.
How it works
When the hotspot feature is activated, the smartphone uses its mobile data connection and creates a Wi-Fi network.
Other devices can connect to this network using a password. The smartphone then transfers internet data between the mobile network and the connected devices.
Why it is important
- It provides internet access when Wi-Fi is not available.
- It is useful for travel or remote work.
- It allows multiple devices to share one mobile data plan.
Simple example
A hotspot works like carrying a portable Wi-Fi router inside your smartphone.
